What SwitchTape Does

SwitchTape lets you (a) transfer playlists between Spotify and Apple Music, and (b) generate an AI-powered "music taste report card" based on your listening data from either service. By using SwitchTape, you agree to these terms.

Use of the Service

SwitchTape is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

• use the service to violate Spotify's or Apple Music's terms of service;
• attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the service;
• use the service to redistribute copyrighted music or circumvent licensing;
• use the service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it.

We may suspend access at any time if usage is abusive or violates these terms.

Your Music Data

SwitchTape requires read access to your Spotify or Apple Music account to read playlists and listening history, and write access to create new playlists. You grant SwitchTape permission to perform these actions on your behalf, and you can revoke that permission at any time through your Spotify or Apple ID account settings.

AI-Generated Content

The Music Report Card is generated by Google's Gemini AI model based on a summary of your listening data. The output is generated content — it's intended to be entertaining and reflective, not a clinical or scientific assessment. SwitchTape makes no claim that the personality analysis is accurate or diagnostically meaningful.

Disclaimer

SwitchTape is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that every track will transfer successfully — catalog differences between Spotify and Apple Music mean some tracks may not have an exact match.

Limitations of Liability

In no event shall SwitchTape or its operators be liable for any damages (including loss of data, loss of playlists, or any indirect or consequential damages) arising out of the use or inability to use the service.

SwitchTape is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Spotify AB or Apple Inc. All trademarks (including the Spotify and Apple Music names and logos) belong to their respective owners.

Third-Party Terms

By using SwitchTape you also agree to:

• Spotify Terms and Conditions of Use (when connecting your Spotify account)
• Apple Media Services Terms (when connecting your Apple Music account)
• Google Terms of Service (Gemini API is used to generate report cards)

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
